The Reborn Police K9 Player script gives your law enforcement departments an ally in the fight for justice! Players can be hired onto any department to become a K9 companion for officers. These K9s are trained thoroughly and can warn their handlers of danger with different sound bytes and animations as well as abilities to tackle and, if necessary, attack potential criminals. This script is escrowed and only allows adjustments of the configuration file.
How To Use:
1) Open config.lua and adjust to your liking
2) Once a player is on-duty as police or whichever job you've assigned they can run /k9 and become a K9
Installation:
1) Copy "interact-sound" folder to [standalone] folder
2) Import items.sql into database for food/water items
3) Place K9 food/water items for sale wherever you'd like

Q: How do I start?
A: Go through the config file and adjust all options you'd like. Also include the Rockstar or FiveM license number for users you'd like to allowlist for K9 duty.
Q: How does someone become a K9?
A: Players must be allowlisted first and foremost. They must also be hired onto a K9-enabled job (police by default) and on duty. Then they can use /k9 and become a K9 companion.
Q: What are the default controls for the K9?
A: You can find these in the config file and adjust them as needed. Players can customize their own keybinds as well through the FiveM settings menu.
Q: How do I get food/water for my K9?
A: If K9 food is enabled, be sure to add the food and water items into your database and provide a place for people to acquire them. Anyone can use a food or water bowl item and K9s can use 3rd eye to use them.
Q: How many K9s can be out at once?
A: As many as you'd like!
Q: Help, I'm stuck as a K9!
A: Most players would most likely have a dedicated character for a K9, however, you can go off-duty as a K9 with /k9 and go to a clothes store.
